Frank Partridge VC Military Museum

Welcome to the Frank Partridge VC Military Museum. Our Committee and volunteers encourage you to visit us in the main street of the beautiful verandah post town of Bowraville, on the Mid North Coast of NSW. Our Museum has numerous display galleries and a large vehicle and equipment area.

War at Sea Display at our Museum

The War at Sea Display which is on loan from the Australian National Maritime Museum draws on the personal accounts of WWI Navy servicemen – through their diaries, mementoes, ship’s logs and letters home – to tell their incredible stories of bravery and sacrifice amidst the drudgery of life at sea, patrolling, blockading and escorting troopships. It also explores the mystery surrounding the loss of Australia’s first submarine AE1 and the role of the Royal Australian Bridging Train at Gallipoli in 1915.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to honour and preserve the memory of all who have served Australia in conflict, to advance and disseminate knowledge about their feats and to encourage visitors to reflect upon the sacrifices given by each person whilst performing their duty.

Our Goal

Our goal is to present displays, exhibitions, educational programs and publications that broaden understanding and appreciation of the sacrifices made by our service personnel and others in times of conflict. It is our intention to work with friends and other groups to enhance the mission and goals of the Frank Partridge VC Military Museum.
